Valentine’s Day is just two weeks away, and while Joe and I don’t generally celebrate the “holiday”, I know there are plenty people out there who do! Actually, both of us have a hard time turning down sweets, so we used last Valentine’s Day as an excuse to gorge ourselves. We got our wires crossed a bit and each ended up bringing home treats to surprise each other, so we ended up with a pint of Jeni’s Brambleberry Crisp (my absolute favorite ice cream in the whole world), a few chocolate covered strawberries, a massive chocolate chip cookie, a mini cheesecake, and assorted truffles!!! So… needless to say, I was wearing my pajamas with a very loose waist that evening.
Whatever you’re doing, one of the outfits above should have you covered. I love this beautiful, bright lace dress paired with cute I (heart) u rings, pretty ivory peep toe heels (with a glitter heel!) and a simple shoulder clutch. If you’re doing something a bit more low key but still want to look pretty, the pink lace peplum top (so, so pretty) would do the trick and transition well for work, too! I like the top paired with mint heels and a nude bow clutch. Lastly, if you’re not planning on celebrating with any particular person and just plan to curl up on the couch (or if you plan to eat 7 lbs of sugar like I did last year), the mini-heart pajamas, heart socks, and super warm and soft slippers will allow you to be both festive and comfortable. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!
Update: If you’re looking for a more affordable version of the peplum top, I found this version, which has an ugly back but could be worn with a blazer or sweater!
