Merry Christmas to you

by lauren on December 11, 2012

My dear, dear readers:

As Christmas approaches, I am finding myself feeling a tad bit overwhelmed.  I want to enjoy the next few weeks and spend time with Joe and family and friends, so I’ve decided to take the rest of the year off from blogging.  I want to have time to bake some (paleo… maybe) cookies, go ice skating at Fountain Square, eat an amazing 7-course Chef’s Tasting at Boca (our Christmas gift to each other), and relax.  I am, however, still available for e-consulting and in-person appointments (and my services would make a great holiday gift, too!).  I’ll leave you with a few fun links to enjoy (fashion and holiday related).  I wish you a wonderful and relaxing holiday season.

- Michael Jordan could use some of my help, don’t you think?  Seriously, What the F*** is Michael Jordan wearing?  (credit to Joe for finding this gem)

- My absolute favorite Christmas cookie – but I cheat and use puff pastry instead of making my own dough, just like my Aunt Margaret taught me.  It’s much more delicious (so light!) and a lot easier. (Decidedly NOT paleo, by the way).

- Need a fancy and edible gift for someone?  I completely agree that this chocolate is the best in the world.  Purchase it here.

- Did you think it was a pain in the butt to hang your garland this year?  I bought this garland wrap last year (which is reusable) and it is amazing, and stays hidden since it’s green.

-  I am coveting this black pom-pom hat for the freezing months ahead, and these metallic dot tights for New Years’ Eve.

Good for you – enjoy the time off and the holidays! And that is a brilliant Christmas gift idea for each other. Getting a chance to splurge and try Boca is definitely worthy of the occasion, I think – we are so doing that next year.
