Meg’s Date Night

Super, happy Friday, friends!  I have a special post for you today – you see, {av} over at Long Distance Loving sent an email a few weeks ago asking if any bloggers would be interested in pairing up for a blog swap for this week’s edition of Friday’s Fancies.  Because I love finding new blogs and meeting other bloggers, I jumped at the chance.

As luck would have it, I was paired up with the sweet Meg of henning love. Meet pretty Meg:

Meg blogs about her life with her husband Sean and her two dogs.  She posts recipes, outfits, and her thoughts.  She also has something quite special that she does on her blog – she opens up her blog to fee-free “sponsors”.  She advertises other people’s blogs as a way to give back to the blogging community!  I think that is very selfless and it truly shows what a nice person she is.

Meg and I have been exchanging emails over the last few weeks and decided that we would create outfits for each other for this week’s Friday’s Fancies.  I decided that I would put together a fun look that Meg could wear out on a date with her husband.  Meg told me she loves jewel tones and jeans and blouses.  After looking through Meg’s outfit posts I stumbled upon a post where she mentioned that she was really inspired by a certain blogger and she linked to her site – well this inspiration was FULL of color, so once I saw that, I knew I needed to give Meg a punch of color for her date night.

Meg says she mostly wears flats, so I went with it, but kicked it up a notch with these awesome camel + gold cap toe H&M flats (I own these and they are every bit as awesome as they look).  I think Meg would look fantastic in a pair of bright skinny jeans and this mint *although it looks beige in this spread* blouse from Top Shop.  To add another layer of color into the look, I paired a few bright, yet simple jewelry pieces that I think Med could be comfortable wearing, both from Bauble Bar.  To Meg – I sincerely enjoyed discussing life and clothes over the past few weeks.  I hope you like your outfit and I hope we can stay in touch!!
